FoxAcre Press ships via U.S. Mail. Shipping books via U.S. Mail is a terrific bargain, and the U.S. Postal Service really does provide good service. (Don't think so? Go anywhere else in the world and see what it costs to mail a letter or package, and how long it takes to get there.)
We shoot to break even, more or less, on shipping charges. Postage is our largest shipping-related cost, but there are other expenses -- envelopes, boxes, invoice sleeves, time and labor, etc. We've set our shipping rates to cover all those costs.
We ship via First Class (which becomes Priority Mail for book-sized packages) and Media Mail, which used to be called Book Rate. (In certain circumstances, we'll ship using the similar Bound Printed Matter Rate.) We have also just added an Air Mail/Global Priority Mail Rate for our customers outside the U.S.-Canada-Mexico region. (GPM is similar to Air Mail, but is significantly cheaper to some destinations.)
If we can ship faster for the same or less money, as it sometimes the case, we will do so. If postage for a given order is significantly less than assumed in our rate chart, we will reduce our shipping charges accordingly. However, bear in mind we do have to cover other shipping charges beyond postage.

What do we mean by "mass-market paperbacks?" These pocket-sized books are roughly four inches wide and seven inches high. "Trade paperbacks" are paperback books of about six by nine inches or larger -- paperbacks more or less the size of a hardcover book.
Media Mail/Bound Printed Matter won't get there as fast, but it will get there. So if you're not in a great rush, choose Media Mail and save a buck or two. Just check the appropriate box when using our online ordering system, or when filling out the Acrobat PDF or HTML versions of our mail & fax order form.
Also please note that Surface Mail is very slow. It can take two months or more for a shipment to arrive.
