We're back from Book Expo America, and from the On-Demand Expo!
We were trolling the aisles at both these major events, held about ten days apart, both at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The On-Demand Expo provided lots of new information on book-on-demand printing (and there was some nifty hardware on display at Book Expo as well.)
All that information will be put to good use in the forthcoming next revision of A Quick Guide to Book-On-Demand Printing.
But if you already have a copy of the Quick Guide, you won't be left out. All significant updates will be posted to the update page for the Guide, accessible through the book's info page.
There was also a great deal to learn at Book Expo. We talked to printers, promoters, distributors, associations, and lots of other people about how to sell more books. We'll be putting that information to use in short order.
It sometimes takes a little time for things to move through the pipeline, but our latest FoxAcre Press titles are now in general release. Further information on all these titles is available at www.foxacre.com.
We are proud to announce that the following titles are now available for your consideration:
• The story collection Celestial Debris by Lawrence Watt-Evans,
• Tweedlioop, Stanley Schmidt's tale of First Contact with an unexpected twist, and
• Hawksbill Times Two by Robert Silverberg: the novella and novel versions of a classic tale, together for the first time.
Also now available: the revised and expanded 3rd edition of Mother Miller's How to Write Good Book, the cheerfully irreverent guide to writing fiction.
Visit our website for more information on all these titles.
These, and all of our titles are, of course, available for sale direct from the FoxAcre website, www.foxacre.com , and also via mail-order. They are available for sale from Amazon.Com, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and many other online booksellers. Bookdealers and libraries can order all our titles at standard discounts direct from FoxAcre, and from Ingram or Baker and Taylor.
Attention booksellers: The new FoxAcre Catalog, listing all sixteen of our current titles, will be mailed shortly. If you would like to receive a copy, just drop us a line at info@foxacre.com and let us know you want a catalog. We'll mail it right away. If you just want to know our ordering policies, visit our bookseller's infomation page , where you'll find links to our dealer's bulletin and our bookseller/educator order form.
FoxAcre Press will be in the dealers' rooms at this year's Balticon in in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore, over Memorial Day weekend, and at this year'sWorldcon, ConJosé, in San José, California. We'll have all our titles on sale, and we'll be eager to sit down and talk with anyone in the book business who happens to stop by. Look us up while you're at the conventions!
FoxAcre Press offers additional titles through our Author's Stock program. We sell new copies of out-of-print books, as provided to us by the authors themselves. These books are available only through our website. Visit our Author's Stock Page for more information all our Author's Stock books, and on our current Author's Stock promotions.
We've signed two new titles you'll be eager to see! The Crystal Crown, Brenda W. Clough's first fantasy novel, and the story collection Sam Boone: Front to Back by Bud Sparhawk. A little further down the road is a re-issue of The Modular Man by Roger MacBride Allen, plus one or two deals we've got handshakes on—but we can't announce them until we have signed contracts!
Also on the horizon: lots of new features to make FoxAcre's website even more useful and interesting. Don't miss anything! Visit the FoxByte Home Page and get your free subscription to FoxBytes!
